The first step to refilling your prescription is to use the Patient Portal to request a refill OR have your pharmacy send a refill request. The Patient Portal is always the fastest option.
DO NOT CALL THE OFFICE FOR PRESCRIPTION REFILLS - USE THE PATIENT PORTAL.
Prescription refill requests can take up to 2 business days to process and complete. Please allow yourself at least one week to get the medication filled. Please plan ahead if the prescription is due on a weekend or holiday, and give us enough time to prepare the prescription.
Annual Renewal of Prescriptions
Any prescription dispensed on an annual basis requires an appointment at least once every 12 months for renewal. Patients on estrogen therapy are required to have an annual mammogram and pap, or as indicated by the physician.
Requests for same day walk in refills (requested by walking into the clinic) will not be honored. You must give the staff 2 business days to prepare the prescription. A request that is called in or faxed after 3pm will be considered a following day request.
We do not refill prescriptions after hours and on the weekends. There will be no refills after hours by any of our on-call physicians or physician assistants for any reason.
ANTIBIOTIC REFILLS: Only if the patient was seen and treated within last 30 days. at the physician's discretion. A follow-up appointment is required.
The on-call providers are to be called for emergencies only.
We do not prescribe any controlled prescriptions over the telephone.
CONTROLLED PRESCRIPTIONS (ex: PAIN MEDICATION) CAN NOT BE CALLED IN AFTER HOURS BY A PHYSICIAN OR NURSE.
